Where Everything Started

Here’s me right at the start of my photography journey, with my Canon Rebel XSi, gifted to me by my parents. I picked up photography as a hobby after my parents signed me up for a class at a summer camp, and since then I have always had a camera by my side.

In this picture I’m probably around 9 years old, at the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. I grew up in northern Virginia (NOVA) until I went to college.

Education

For two years, I attended William & Mary in Virginia studying Computer Science, until the desire to chase my dreams surpassed all logical reason to stay in a lucrative line of work.

I transferred to the University of Southern California (USC), majoring in Film Production at the School of Cinematic Arts. Throughout the rest of my college career, I focused on cinematography, and divulged in every opportunity to learn and experiment with my camerawork, including composition, movement, lighting, editing, and sound design.

Although I studied film production and initially intended to work in the film industry in LA, I realized my deepest desire with my creative work was to touch people’s lives directly. I still work on set here and there, but have been focusing primarily on shooting real life events for people—priceless memories and moments.

Faith

I love Jesus! :) ✞ I attend church at Reality LA every Sunday, serve as a youth leader every Tuesday, attend community group every Thursday, and talk to God daily. He has radically changed my life, and He has made me a new person.

I didn’t grow up in the church, nor is anyone else in my family a believer (yet). But I always felt like God was out there. I prayed even though I didn’t believe God was real, and even though nobody ever told me to.

I arrived into my early adulthood carrying a lot of lies that had me deeply believing I wasn’t worthy and that I wasn’t enough. God, in the kindness of His pursuit, met me in my loneliness. I learned that He has a plan for my life, that He has known me since the beginning of creation, and that He loves me more than I could possibly imagine. I received Jesus into my life on February 11th, 2021, and got baptized Easter Sunday, 2022.

Since then, I have been surrounded by a vibrant and faithful community of friends, and seek to grow closer to God and become more like Him every day.

God put the sweetest girl in my life, and our relationship has changed me and grown me in ways I never could’ve imagined. Our relationship has brought us both closer to Him. He has been the center of our relationship, and we would not be able to tell our story without telling what God has done through it.

WHY ME?

I believe there are no coincidences. You’re here because God has intentionally put a lovely lady or a lovely man in your life too! And for whatever the occasion—if you’re getting engaged, married, or any other stage of your relationship—you’re wanting photos or a film made, to celebrate the unique story God has penned in your life.
